View dealThe Lotus Eletre is a large five-seat electric SUV, and it is the car that took Lotus from lightweight two-seaters into the luxury performance market. It's for drivers who want a genuinely quick family car with a cabin that feels special, and who can charge regularly.
In Lotus's line-up it sits as the big, practical one: five doors, 688 litres of boot space with the rear seats up and 5.10 metres of length, against the low-slung sports cars the badge is better known for.
The choice here is simple. One body style, one electric powertrain built around a 112 kWh battery, and six trims: 600, 600 GT, 600 GT SE, 600 Sport SE, 900 Sport and 900 Sport Carbon.

The Eletre is Lotus's electric SUV, on sale in this form since 2022, and it pairs supercar-level outputs of 604 to 905 bhp with genuine family-car space. It is covered by a 5-year / 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty.
Reviewers consistently praise the interior - build quality, materials and the screen tech are usually described as the best any Lotus has offered - along with strong body control and steering that feels sharper than most rivals of this size and weight.
The common criticisms are just as consistent: real-world efficiency isn't a strength, there's road and wind noise at motorway speeds, and the low-speed ride can feel firm on the larger wheels. Rear passenger space, though, is exceptional, and the 688-litre boot is big for the class.
Because every Eletre arrives heavily equipped, and leasing keeps you in it for a fixed term without taking a view on what a six-figure electric SUV will be worth in three years' time. That's the whole point of contract hire.
Standard across the range: air suspension, four-wheel steering, matrix LED headlights, head-up display, four-zone climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel, electric seat memory, powered tailgate, keyless entry and start, wireless charging, built-in navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a heat pump.
Driver assistance is thorough too - adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep and active lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition, automatic high beam and front and rear parking sensors. Every version tows up to 2,250 kg braked.
There's only one: a 112 kWh battery driving all four wheels, with an automatic gearbox and outputs from 604 bhp to 905 bhp depending on version. No petrol option, so charging is part of the deal.
WLTP range runs up to 373 miles, and charging peaks at 350 kW - 10-80% in 20 minutes on the best version. It suits drivers with home or reliable workplace charging; if you regularly use the performance, expect the range to drop.

All six share the same cabin architecture and safety kit, so the decision comes down to wheels, comfort features and how much power you want.
The entry version, with 604 bhp, all-wheel drive, 20-inch "5 Spoke Aero" alloys, cloth upholstery, satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated front seats and front park assist. Automatic parking assist, privacy glass and roof rails are available as options. The 600 is currently available from £1,609.67 a month.
Same 604 bhp running gear, but it adds automatic parking assist and moves to 22-inch "10 Spoke" alloys. Massaging and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, privacy glass, roof rails and a retractable towbar are all on the options list. The 600 GT is currently available from £1,675.70 a month. Against the 600, that is currently £66.04/mo more expensive.
Adds configurable ambient lighting, with colour and brightness adjustable and individual settings, plus a hands-free tailgate. Wheels stay at 22 inches and the seat comfort features remain optional, as do privacy glass, roof rails and a retractable towbar. The 600 GT SE is currently available from £1,750.68 a month. Against the 600 GT, that is currently £74.98/mo more expensive.
This is the comfort-focused one: massaging front seats, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats all become standard rather than optional. Power stays at 604 bhp, and privacy glass, roof rails and a retractable towbar can still be added. The 600 Sport SE is currently available from £1,835.92 a month. Against the 600 GT SE, that is currently £85.24/mo more expensive.
The step up in performance: 905 bhp, launch control and privacy glass for the rear windscreen and rear side door windows. The massaging, ventilated and heated seat features revert to options here, alongside roof rails and a retractable towbar. The 900 Sport is currently available from £2,186.44 a month. Against the 600 Sport SE, that is currently £350.52/mo more expensive.
Keeps the 905 bhp powertrain and adds the seat comfort pack as standard - massaging front seats, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats - on top of the 900 Sport's kit. Roof rails and a retractable towbar remain options. The 900 Sport Carbon is currently available from £2,327.44 a month. Against the 900 Sport, that is currently £141.00/mo more expensive.
