Overview of the Citroen C4

Great family car with funky styling - Packed with equipment

As a family hatchback car lease, the Citroen C4 offers a great car with funky styling. It's also packed with equipment to be a value-for-money offering.

There's a range of petrol engines for the Citroen C4 including the firm's impressive 1.2-litre PureTech petrol units. The power is deployed using either a manual gearbox, or an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol engines offer a rewarding drive but there's also a 1.5-litre diesel unit that offers better performance for long motorway journeys.

The Citroen C4 is also available as an electric choice, it's the e-C4, with a capable electric motor delivering an agile drive.

The petrol engines return around 50 mpg, while the BlueHDI diesel unit returns just over 64 mpg. The all-electric e-C4 will deliver a range of up to 217 miles - and is a great choice for company car drivers.

Citroen C4 in a nutshell

The latest version of the Citroen C4 car leasing range is an impressive offering with a lot to recommend it. The C4 is taking on the likes of the Volkswagen Golf and Ford Focus, and there's enough to choose the C4 over them.

The petrol engines deliver the most rewarding drive, while the battery-powered C4 delivers fun in a quiet cabin. The suspension on all models absorbs poor road surfaces very well.

The C4 also handles nicely around town and is a composed car on winding, country roads.

Standard equipment includes rear parking sensors, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen and dual-zone climate control. Other models feature a head-up display, a reversing camera, leather upholstery and a top-end sound system. There are some options available, such as keyless entry and various colour packs, but the equipment on each trim should meet most needs.

The cabin has been well-designed and is spacious with a boot size of 380 litres - this extends to 1,250 litres when the rear seats are folded flat.

The Citroen C4 contract hire car also features lots of safety features including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and driver attention alert.

The range was revamped in 2021 with an improved ride and a new minimal interior. And this third generation of the Citroen C4 brought fresh thinking to the segment and it is a contract hire car worth considering.

Essentially, the Citroen C4 car lease range is a family-friendly crossover that offers practicality, decent economy and a rewarding drive - it's a comfortable and stand-out car for the segment. Add it to your shortlist!

Why not have a look at the C4 on the official Citroen company website? Or why not look at some of these similar car lease deals from First Vehicle Leasing: the Ford Focus and the Volkswagen Golf.
