PHEV or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle uses both an electric engine and a traditional petrol engine; with the electric engine, the battery is charged by plugging it into a power source.
Plug-in hybrids have a larger battery than mild hybrids, meaning you can run for longer on pure electric power. If you live near a low-emission zone, this benefit must be considered against the cost of installing a home charger and be mindful of your nearest public charging facility.

MG HS
MG HS is a top-rated compact crossover SUV manufactured by the Chinese motor manufacturer SAIC Motor Company using the British MG Motor Company marque. The HS was first launched in 2018.
The HS is a five-door SUV with a front-engine and front-wheel drive; the only power train available for the non-Hybrid is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DCT automatic.
The plug-in hybrid (PHEV) uses the same 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, and it works in tandem with a 90KW electric motor; it will give you an EV range of 32 miles on a full charge* and smooth acceleration is guaranteed with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.
