The Subaru Levorg is an estate car with head turning design and lots of practicality. It also has excellent handling abilities and is an all-round impressive creation.
The first thing to note is that the Subaru Levorg does not have a diesel engine option but instead uses a 1.6 litre petrol unit coupled to a CVT automatic transmission. The naturally aspirated engine is a decent performer and will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in less than nine seconds and will return 40 mpg with emissions of 164g/km. One reason for the economy figure is the four-wheel-drive system but this does offer plenty of grip and boosts the fun to be had behind the wheel.
The Subaru Levorg is a very good-looking car that is great to drive and it has some interesting practical ideas on board too. There's also lots of equipment including keyless entry, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, dual zone climate control, a rear parking camera and the firm's Starlink infotainment system. There's also plenty of safety equipment including electronic stability and traction control systems along with lots of airbags. There's also the firm's rear vehicle detection system which will give a warning should a car enter the vehicle's blindspot or if it cuts across the Levorg when reversing.
As already mentioned, the permanent four-wheel-drive system delivers impressive handling and performance and it is particularly good on winding country roads and on a variety of surfaces with good performance at speed on motorways too. The interior is a comfortable place to spend time, it's been well-designed and there's lots of space for passengers. The Subaru Levorg is also very quiet when cruising and its refined manners make it stand out from the crowd.
For the firm's fans, the Subaru Levorg offers an estate that delivers decent levels of prowess with an impressive standard equipment list (indeed, it's so long there's no options list except from choosing a colour) and it also has the Subaru solid build to deliver reliability.
