Motor and performance for the Seat Mii
The Seat Mii has an electric motor producing 83 bhp and it's powered by a 36.8 kWh battery. The performance around town is quite nippy - mainly down to the instant torque of 212Nm - and it's a decent performer on motorways with a top speed of 81mph. The battery delivers a range of 161 miles.
Equipment and handling
The Seat Mii is the first chapter of the carmaker's foray into all-electric car production and this is an impressive city car. It's also one of the most affordable of the electric vehicles currently available in the UK with nice handling around town and high comfort levels. The handling is boosted by a comfort suspension and while the setting is fairly soft, there's plenty of grip and it is a stable car when cornering at speed with the electronic stability control bringing peace of mind. The electric motor is mated to a single-speed transmission, so drivers can expect to reach a sprint time of 0 to 31 mph in 3.9 seconds. That's great performance for those who spend their time pottering around cities and towns. The battery takes four hours of charging with a home charger to reach 80% of its capacity - access to a rapid charger will see this capacity level being reached in an hour. The Seat Mii also offers a lot of equipment as standard, including dark tinted windows, sports seats and metallic paint. Safety kit includes traffic sign recognition, lane assist and rear parking sensors. The dashboard features a 5-inch colour touchscreen with DAB radio and smartphone integration. Drivers also get to use an app so they can pre-warm the cabin before setting off. Essentially, there's a lot to recommend the Seat Mii which has lots of space and is a fun to drive cheap electric vehicle which is a sound offering for urban drivers and commuters.
