Overview of the Renault Arkana

The Renault Arkana is a stylish SUV with lots of equipment and practicality for drivers to enjoy. However, it’s only available as a hybrid but it does deliver frugal motoring.

Why choose a Renault Arkana?

There are two engine choices for the elegant Renault Arkana car lease, the first is the 140 mild hybrid, and the E-tech 145. The latter is a self-charging hybrid that delivers better economy.

The mild hybrid returns around 50 mpg, while the plug-in E-Tech version offers 60 mpg - with CO2 emissions of 111 g/km to benefit company car drivers with a lower benefit-in-kind (BiK) tax band.

Neither of the models offer all-electric driving with the mild hybrid having a small battery to assist the petrol engine whenever necessary to boost fuel economy. The E-tech gets a slightly larger battery to deliver better fuel efficiencies.

Of the two, the E-Tech offers better performance with a total power output of 140 bhp and it is a decent motorway cruiser. The power is delivered by a seven-speed automatic gearbox that performs well, particularly when accelerating on motorways.

Renault Arkana in a nutshell

Leasing a Renault Arkana is an easy process with the Arkana being packed with equipment from 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, climate control and cruise control.

What to expect when you lease a Renault Arkana

Currently, there are no direct rivals for the stylish Renault Arkana car lease range and for those wanting a spacious SUV with the modern coupe styling, there’s a lot to recommend this vehicle.

It’s slightly smaller than the impressive Kadjar with rewarding handling and high comfort levels. It’s a nice car to drive around town.

Other models feature 18-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control and more safety equipment. Drivers also get a reversing camera - the sloping tailgate makes this a useful addition - rear and front parking sensors, LED headlights, cruise control and smartphone connectivity. The range-topping model to lease is the R.S. Line which adds a heated steering wheel and front seats, along with wireless phone charging.

The infotainment system has a 9.3-inch touchscreen - except for the entry level model that comes with a 7.0-inch screen - and the interior has a premium look and feel with good use of soft-touch surfaces. At some point, the Arkana will be available with a digital instrument cluster to replace the analogue dials. This is also a safe vehicle with all models featuring automatic emergency braking and lane keeping assist.

The Arkana has the full five stars when crash tested by Euro NCAP, and the S Edition offers the best choice for safety with features including a rear cross-traffic warning system and blind spot monitoring. The top-spec models come with a self-parking system.

Essentially, the Renault Arkana car lease is a sound choice if you’re looking for an affordable SUV that is practical and well-equipped and has low running costs. It’s also a lease SUV that delivers keen handling and a rewarding drive.
