The Nissan Note makes for a great choice for families wanting a mini MPV as there's lots of space on board and efficient engines delivering economy. It also has a decent driving experience and lots of comfort.
The Note is offered with a frugal 1.5 litre diesel engine producing 89bhp and which should return 79mpg. There are also two 1.2 litre petrol options which should return 66mpg. The engines help deliver an agile and nimble performance, particularly around town. The car is also composed and comfortable on long journeys particularly on the motorway.
The Nissan Note is quite tall for a mini MPV though this does not equate to body roll in corners and it's an agile mover around town; it is easy to park and manoeuvre. There's also plenty of insulation to help the interior remain quiet and the seats are spacious, particularly for tall adults sat in the rear seats.
It's also a practical choice for a car - the boot is 325litres which then extends to more than 2,000litres with the rear seats folded flat. Some Note models have rear seats which move forwards or backwards easily to extend the boot or legroom. The interior has been well-designed and everything is within reach with a solid feel to the experience with Nissan enjoying good reputation for reliability. Standard equipment includes Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, USB connections and electric windows. Some models come with satnav, air con, privacy glass and alloy wheels, climate control as well as keyless start.
Essentially, the Nissan Note strikes a nice balance between being a supermini and a mini MPV with lots of practicality and a stylish design thrown in for good measure.
