View dealThe Mercedes-Benz V Class is a luxury MPV built for carrying people in comfort. It seats six or eight and measures from about 5.14 metres long.
It sits apart from the rest of the Mercedes-Benz range. Where an estate or a large SUV squeezes a third row into a car-shaped body, the V Class starts with van-sized space and finishes it to passenger-car standards, with proper access to the back.
The choice is simple: one body, one 2-litre diesel automatic with rear-wheel drive, and four trims - Premium, Premium AMG Line, Exclusive and Marco Polo Premium Plus AMG Line.

The V Class is a van-based MPV finished as a luxury car, and that combination is exactly what reviewers keep coming back to. It is the current third-generation car, on sale in this form since 2024.
Road testers consistently praise the space, the seat comfort and the cabin quality, and they're equally consistent about the trade-off: this is a large, heavy vehicle that drives like what it is, best taken at a relaxed pace. Passengers enjoy it more than drivers do.
Every version seats six or eight, rides on a wheelbase of 3.20 to 3.43 metres depending on version, and comes with a three-year, unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty - useful if you cover big miles.
Because the V Class arrives well equipped whichever version you choose, and leasing lets you run one for a fixed monthly cost over a set term rather than tying up capital in a large, expensive vehicle you may only need for a few years.
Standard across the range: adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, self-steering parking, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, keyless entry and start, wireless phone charging, built-in navigation, a digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, privacy glass and ambient lighting.
The driver-assistance kit is standard too - autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, traffic sign recognition and automatic high beam. On something 1.93 metres wide, 2.25 metres across the mirrors, the cameras and sensors earn their keep in car parks.
There's only one: a 2-litre diesel, automatic, driving the rear wheels. Nothing to plug in, nothing to charge, and power varies by version from 161bhp to 234bhp.
The 2-litre four-cylinder diesel produces 161 to 234bhp through a nine-speed automatic. WLTP economy runs from 35.8 to 38.7mpg with CO2 of 190 to 206 g/km, and the tank holds 57 litres. Insurance sits in group 42 to 48 depending on version.
Diesel still makes sense for a vehicle this heavy - kerb weights run from 2,422kg to 2,691kg - and for the long motorway runs these do best. If you mostly potter about town, read our guide to diesel particulate filters before you order.

All four trims share the same standard kit listed above, so the decision comes down to wheels, roof, seat adjustment and how much power the entry version of each gives you.
Premium starts at 161bhp and rides on 18-inch 10 Spoke Light alloys, with Lugano leather, Multibeam LED headlights with adaptive high beam assist plus, MBUX augmented reality navigation, a driver monitor camera, hands-free tailgate, roof rails and power-folding mirrors. A detachable towbar is available as an option.
The Premium is currently available from £1,009.13 a month.
Premium AMG Line keeps the 161bhp entry version and the same equipment, then adds sports suspension and swaps to 19-inch AMG 5 Twin Spoke Light alloy wheels. Firmer and sharper-looking, rather than better equipped. The detachable towbar remains an option.
The Premium AMG Line is currently available from £1,075.27 a month. Against the Premium, that is currently £66.14/mo more expensive.
Exclusive moves to a 234bhp entry version and 19-inch 5 Twin Spoke alloys in high-sheen black. It adds an opening panoramic sliding sunroof, a memory seat package with an electrically adjustable driver's seat, and an instrument panel in leather look with topstitching.
The Exclusive is currently available from £1,202.20 a month. Against the Premium AMG Line, that is currently £126.92/mo more expensive.
The Marco Polo name is Mercedes-Benz's long-running camper line, and this version tops the range at 234bhp on 19-inch AMG 5 Twin Spoke alloys. It adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a heated leather three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, heated seats and dual-zone climate control.
The Marco Polo Premium Plus AMG Line is currently available from Price on request a month. Against the Exclusive, that is currently Price comparison unavailable.
Paint choice runs to ten colours across the range, from Obsidian black and Graphite grey to Hyacinth red, Sodalite blue and Vintage blue. Our guide to choosing your car covers how to weigh spec against term and mileage.
If the camper side of the V Class appeals more than the eight-seat side, the Volkswagen California covers similar ground. You'll find the rest of the range on our Mercedes-Benz leasing page.
