The Mazda CX-30 is a stylish and well-equipped SUV. It's also a practical offering that is great to drive.

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE MAZDA CX-30

The excellent engines in the contract hire Mazda CX-30 are a huge part of the reason why this is such a great car to drive.

There's a 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering either 122 HP or 180 HP. The more powerful unit has clever 'Skyactiv' technology onboard to reduce emissions and deliver better torque performance at lower revs.

Mazda has also added mild-hybrid technology to both engines to boost acceleration and conserve energy when braking.

Fuel economy is 47mpg for both engines, with emissions of 133g/km, though this figure rises for the four-wheel-drive version with automatic transmission to 160g/km.

EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING FOR THE MAZDA CX-30

The big attraction for the contract hire Mazda CX-30 is for its fun-to-drive abilities. Despite the extra height than the Mazda3, the hatchback on which it is based, the grip and stance deliver the rewarding drive. There's also little body lean on twisty country roads and it makes for an ideal motorway cruiser.

It's up against the likes of the Volkswagen T-Roc, the Ford Puma as well as the impressive Peugeot 3008. The CX-30 is a stylish alternative to most rivals and in some cases, it offers much better handling. The suspension helps to deliver the comfortable ride and there's plenty of space in the cabin, particularly for those in the front seats. The boot size is a practical 421 litres.

The CX-30 also has a full five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, indeed it scored the highest ever marks to set a benchmark for new models. Standard safety features include autonomous emergency braking and lane keeping assist. This is an all-new model but the brand has a strong reputation for safety and reliability, and that's evident in this car too.

The dashboard is also impressive with plush materials and most of the car settings are part of the navigating menus - which is easy-to-use. The entry-level model features an 8.8-inch touchscreen display with satnav, as well as smartphone compatibility.

The model also comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a head-up display that features traffic sign recognition, rear parking sensors and air-conditioning. There’s also blind spot monitoring and radar cruise control. Other models feature a reversing camera, front parking sensors, keyless entry and dual-zone climate control.

There's also the Sport Lux trim with 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and a powered sunroof, while the GT Sport trim features leather upholstery and a 12-speaker sound system. The range-topper is the excellent GT Sport Tech trim which adds driver monitoring, the firm's cross-traffic alert and 360° cameras.

Mazda is one of those carmakers that restricts the options so drivers need to choose the trim they need and all of the CX-30 car leasing range features a good range of equipment.

Essentially, the Mazda CX-30 car lease has been superbly built and designed to impress in a competitive segment and it is recommended that you take one for a road test.
