The Mazda CX-3 is an impressive SUV that's great to drive with an excellent interior that has lots of space. It's also cheap to run.
There are three engines available for the Mazda CX-3 and all of them are very good and responsive. There's 1.5 litre diesel engine producing 104 bhp and returning 71 mpg to make this a frugal car; this is for the two-wheel drive guise, for those who want all-wheel drive the economy will fall to 60 mpg. For those who prefer the better responsiveness from a petrol engine, a 2.0 litre unit with two power outputs and returning between 44 mpg and 49 mpg is available. All of the engines are coupled to a manual gearbox though there is a very good automatic transmission available as an option.
The footprint for the Mazda CX-3 is only supermini size (it’s actually based on the chassis of the Mazda2) which means that the driving experience for the vehicle is not just nimble but also engaging; it is a more rewarding car to drive the many of its rivals. The interior also helps it stand apart from its rivals with everything being well-designed and well-built and there's a decent sized boot of 350litres as well.
There's also a lots of equipment on-board the CX-3 as standard including air conditioning, alloy wheels, cruise control, electric windows and Bluetooth connectivity. There's also a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system while other models come with rear parking sensors, automatic wipers and lights and heated front seats. Among the safety equipment is lane departure warning and autonomous of emergency braking which operates when it detects an imminent collision.
Essentially, the Mazda CX-3 offers an all-round impressive package for the crossover segment and along with high levels of reliability, there's a lot of comfort and refinement on board to make this a winning combination.
