Overview of the Maserati Levante

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE MASERATI LEVANTE

With a reputation for creating excellent sports cars, the contract hire Maserati Levante is an impressive and luxurious SUV. Drivers have a choice of powerful petrol engines, including a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit producing 424 bhp. It delivers a 0 to 62 mph sprint time of 5.2 seconds.

This engine has been developed with Ferrari and is mated to an eight-speed transmission for rapid acceleration - the exhaust noise is particularly appealing.

For more power, Maserati offers a V8 version producing either 522 bhp in the GTS version, or 572 bhp in the Trofeo model. As result, the sprint times are 4.3 and 4.1 seconds respectively.

Economy for the engines is around 30 mpg but will be less when pushed hard and the V8 will offer fuel economy of around 18 mpg.

Maserati Levante in a nutshell

Essentially, the contract hire Maserati Levante is a stylish and large SUV that offers a comfortable and luxurious car for leasing and a rewarding drive.

EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING FOR THE MASERATI LEVANTE

Behind the wheel of the excellent Maserati Levante, this is an SUV to lease that always feels well-planted with good steering feedback. The suspension delivers a very comfortable ride, particularly on long journeys, and there's little in the way of body roll in what is an agile, large car.

Drivers get four driving modes, including off-road, sport and normal. Plus, there's a mode called ICE, which means 'increased control and efficiency' - which will put the Levant into an economical driving mode.

When sport mode is selected, the exhaust becomes louder and the accelerator more responsive. The adaptive air suspension delivers a cushioned ride but also stiffens to deal with winding country roads and deliver more fun behind the wheel.

As a top marque with a reputation for delivering luxurious cars, the Maserati Levante does not disappoint. Leather seats are standard, and the cabin is quiet with great noise suppression. Indeed, the cabin is a serene and quiet place when covering long journeys for all of the occupants and drivers get an 8.4-inch infotainment display and a rotary control knob.

There's also a Maserati analogue clock in the dashboard, a signature touch from the carmaker, as well as an eight-speaker stereo system. Drivers also get dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and rain sensing windscreen wipers.

There's also hill-descent control and cruise control, while other models feature larger alloy wheels, a wooden trim, red brake callipers and paddle shifters on a sports steering wheel. There's also a wide range of options to customise the Maserati Levante too including 28 interior trim colours and two-tone leather upholstery. This is also a practical SUV to lease with a boot size of 580 litres and plenty of space in the cabin for four adults.

The car has not been crash tested by Euro CAP, but the Maserati Ghibli shares the same platform and it has a five-star rating. There's also plenty of safety equipment including traction control, anti-lock brakes and multiple airbags.

The Levant also has a range of active safety technology systems to avoid collisions, as well as adaptive cruise control to maintain a safe distance on roads. Maserati has also fitted a surround-view camera to make manoeuvring and parking easier.
