The Infiniti Q70 is a well-equipped saloon with high comfort levels. It's also a spacious car and its handling also impresses.
There's a 2.2 diesel engine for the Infiniti Q70 which is likely to be the most popular choice. Drivers should see the engine return around 58mpg and it has CO2 emissions of 129g/km. The Q70 also has the option of 3.7 litre V6 petrol engine that has 320bhp which is a modified version of the engine found in the incredible Nissan 370Z. Its economy is 27 mpg with emissions of 235g/km. Anyone looking to polish their green credentials will also find a hybrid version available which can reach speeds of 50mph on electric power and it then utilises a 3.5 litre V6 engine to travel further; the engine should return around 45mpg and has CO2 emissions of 145g/km. It also has impressive performance and will reach from 0 to 62 mph in just over five seconds with a top speed of 155 mph.
Out on the open road the Infiniti Q70 is a rewarding and enjoyable car to drive; it's excellent for cruising long distances on the motorway and its nimble performer on winding country roads. The suspension is well tuned to deal with the UK's roads so potholes aren't felt in the cabin though some models come with a sport suspension and an active steer system which enables a sharper handling to give a sports car-like feel. The set-up works quite well, particularly on corners where the grip is firm. The cabin is well-designed and comfortable and consists of quality, well-made equipment. Standard equipment includes electronic stability control, anti-whiplash head restraint and six airbags in a very long list. There's also a reversing camera, keyless entry, dual zone climate control and heated front seats. The top spec models come with blind spot warning, Lane departure warning and radar cruise control. There's also an improved sound system.
The Q70 is a luxury saloon designed to take on the very best in the segment and manages to do a fine job of it. The marque isn't that well-known in the UK yet but it is a division of Nissan. Most Infiniti models are designed to stand out from the crowd they are sold in and that’s also true for the Q70.
