ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE GENESIS GV80
The engines for the Genesis GV80 are larger and more powerful than for the sibling G80. Drivers get a choice of either a 2.5-litre petrol unit, or a 3.0-litre diesel engine.
The petrol engine will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just over seven seconds, which is admirable considering the size and weight of the car.
The six-cylinder diesel engine will do the same sprint in 7.5 seconds, and then onto a top speed of 143 mph. Its emissions are 220g/km, and the economy is around 34 mpg. For the petrol unit, its emissions are 200g/km, and economy is 26 mpg.
The power for the diesel and petrol engines is delivered using an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive is fitted as standard.

It helps too that the GV80 has a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP with various safety features, including autonomous emergency braking and a system to scan the road ahead to make the drive much smoother.
