Engines and performance for the C4 SpaceTourer
There is a wide range of engines for drivers to choose from for the Citroen C4 SpaceTourer and all are refined and responsive offerings. They are also cheap to run with the 1.2 litre petrol unit producing 130 hp meeting most driver's needs, particularly if they drive around town. The engine is also a good performer on long motorway journeys, though, and should return around 58mpg, while the diesel offering produces 115 hp and should return around 70mpg. The engine is mated to either a manual gearbox or the firm's new automatic transmission.
Equipment and handling
The Citroen C4 SpaceTourer offers lots of space for five people (for seven seats, the Grand Citroen C4 SpaceTourer is for you). Introduced in 2018, with an equipment update in late 2019, the SpaceTourer saw two new diesel engines being offered and the new vehicle replaced the firm's popular Picasso. The car is also nice to drive with an impressive suspension that delivers excellent levels of comfort. It's also a practical choice and there's lots of new safety equipment, including speed sign recognition, active safety brake and driver attention alert being added. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, air conditioning, a panoramic windscreen and electric windows. The cabin has been well-designed and it looks more upmarket than the segment it serves; the interior uses soft-touch materials and it's been designed for lots of family use. Essentially, for anyone looking for a very comfortable, well-made five-seat MPV to carry a family in a safe vehicle, or indeed anyone looking for a spacious people carrier packed with equipment, then there's there are little wrong in the Citroen C4 SpaceTourer.
