ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE BENTLEY BENTAYGA
The incredible power for the Bentley Bentayga car lease comes from an impressive 32-valve 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine. It produces 542 bhp with torque of 770Nm to offer a top speed of 180 mph.
The power is delivered using an effective eight-speed automatic transmission and it will sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds. While the fuel economy is around 22 mpg, it can be boosted thanks to the deactivation of four cylinders in suitable conditions without compromising the drive.
There's also the Bentley Bentayga Speed model which is performance-focused and uses the firm's renowned 6.0-litre W12 TSI engine. The Bentayga was unveiled in June 2020, and a year later the luxury carmaker unveiled the Bentayga Hybrid.
It uses a 3.0-litre V6 petrol unit producing 443 bhp with torque of 700Nm. It offers drivers a pure electric drive of 25 miles and the cabin is a serene place to be when using battery power - though the cosseted feel means there's very little noise anyway.
The Bentayga Hybrid makes for a better car leasing choice with fuel economy of 81 mpg, and emissions of 79g/km. Drivers cannot currently use rapid charging for the battery but using a home wallbox will see the battery being recharged in two and a half hours.

It's also packed with technology and the driving experience is surprisingly fun. Despite the size, there's a system onboard that mitigates any potential body roll so the driver feels confident when cornering, particularly at speed. The suspension and steering combine well to deliver thrills.
The car features Bentley's next generation of infotainment system which utilises a 10.9-inch display with high-resolution graphics. There's also better connectivity with smartphones. The infotainment system utilises the firm's connected services with the use of an embedded SIM.
Bentley says that the Bentayga offers the abilities of an off-roader, a spacious family car, a luxury saloon and the performance of a grand tourer - this is no understatement.
Along with the striking looks, there's a brushed aluminium trim plus straight-grained veneers for the interior. The Bentayga was the first true luxury SUV in the world and the interior delivers a relaxing environment and there are five very comfortable seats - the rear seats recline nicely.
There are no trim levels because Bentley offers a long list of options and standard equipment includes air suspension to deliver a smooth and cosseted ride, and there are also lots of crash mitigation and detection systems fitted along with lots of airbags. Options include radar-guided adaptive cruise control, a head-up display and a self-driving system while in traffic jams.
For those who want to take their luxurious SUV off-road, then the all-terrain specification can be optioned that adds traction and stability control systems to travel across various slippery surfaces.
