Overview of the Audi Q2

Audi Q2 is a well-built small SUV

Excellent cabin delivers a relaxing drive

The Audi Q2 is a well-built and good-looking small SUV. It also has an excellent cabin while delivering a relaxing drive.

ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE AUDI Q2

Among the engines, the Audi Q2 features a 1.0 litre TFSI with three cylinders for the entry level model; it may sound like it will be underpowered but it delivers excellent levels of performance around town. Audi also supplies its Q2 with a 1.4 TFSI petrol unit and a 1.6 TDI engine. There's also the choice of a 2.0 litre TDI unit and a Quattro version. The 1.4 litre petrol unit should return around 46 mpg and is a good performer around town and out on the open road while the 1.6 litre diesel unit will return around 62 mpg.

EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING

There's no doubt that the Audi Q2 is a relaxing vehicle to drive and the cabin is not only well-built but stylish too. The optional virtual cockpit offers a digital display system that makes driving a tad easier for those who enjoy a futuristic environment.

It's also very much an upmarket offering from Audi and the Q2 looks distinct from the rest of the firm’s range but the interior is fairly similar to those who have driven the A3. This means there are lots of soft materials to help give an upmarket feel. The 7-inch infotainment system delivers smart phone mirroring systems though drivers could opt for a technology pack that adds the virtual cockpit so the dials are digital rather than analogue and an 8.3-inch dashboard screen. There's also wireless phone charging.

Out on the open road, the seats are comfortable and supportive with plenty of adjustment and the cabin is roomy enough for tall adults to be carried in comfort. The boot is a helpful 405 litres in size with the rear seats folding flat to create a boot of 1,050 litres.

When driving around town, the light steering delivers a comfortable ride and the option of adaptive suspension helps to deliver a smoother ride. There's also plenty of equipment fitted as standard with most models coming with satnav and all having Bluetooth connectivity and DAB radio.

Essentially, the Audi Q2 is an SUV with a strong offering with lots of equipment and a very comfortable ride to make it one of the best cars in its class.
