Audi has confirmed that its latest V6 TDI engine will become available in the A6 Saloon, A6 Avant and A7 Sportback. It is the most powerful six-cylinder diesel engine offered by the company to date. Audi’s latest 3.0-litre V6 TDI will output 313PS and have torque of 650Nm at 1,450rpm to 2,800rpm. In short, it will be potent.
On the other side of the coin, the engine will also be efficient. On the A6 Saloon, Audi claims that the V6 can hit 62mph from stationary in just 5.1 seconds and achieves an electronically limited top speed of 155mph while offering fuel economy in the combined cycle of 44.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 169g per kilometre driven. This will make it an excellent choice for an image(and tax) conscious Director.
