This is the new Mini Paceman – it’s the seventh version of the family and is being hailed as being the world’s first Sports Activity Coupe.

I’m not entirely sure what that means but it is intended to be a cheaper alternative to cars like the three door Range Rover Evoque.
Built on the Countryman platform, there’s also a sporty new exterior design, lowered suspension for a dynamic ride and a revamp of the interior – although it looks largely the same with the big speed dial and various stylised additions.
The tweaks should mean it delivers a sportier drive than the Countryman.
The Mini Cooper S Paceman has a 0-62mph of just 7.5 seconds. It will sell alongside the Hatch, Clubman, Convertible, Countryman, Coupé and Roadster.
The car will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show later this month but you won’t be seeing these on our roads until next Spring.
The entry level Mini Cooper Paceman weighs in a £18,970 for a 1.6l engine and buyers can order the car with regular suspension as a no-cost option.
