New Peugeot 2008 comes with lots of equipment

The new Peugeot 2008 also comes with lots of equipment including a 7-inch touchscreen display which has MirrorScreen technology and features Apple CarPlay.

Options for the 2008 include a rear view camera, park assist as well as active city brake to help control the car when it detects an imminent collision.

For those who like their crossover vehicles to have some degree of off-road ability, the 2008 has the option of the adaptive traction system ‘Grip Control’ which, says Peugeot, offers drivers true versatility in every type of weather.

The system works by boosting control of the front tyres of the 2008 with the driver selecting the relevant conditions for the system to change its traction abilities accordingly.

Everything from mud to snow is catered for, as well as sand. It helps that the 2008 is a light car so the changes to the system have an impact.

Of the engines, Peugeot have a 1.2litre petrol PureTech which should return 64mpg and has emissions of 102g/km.

There’s also an excellent 1.6litre BlueHDi engine available with a range of outputs but delivering economy of 76mpg.
