The power for the Renault Megane RS has seen the engine line-up changing and there's now a 1.8 litre turbocharged petrol engine with a choice of 280hp or 300hp. The entry level model gets the 280hp while the Megane RS Trophy gets the unit producing 300hp - with torque of 400Nm. The engines are mated to either a smooth six-speed manual or a quick shifting dual-clutch automatic transmission which is a better performer at speeds to make this an easy car to drive.
