The Hyundai i30 N might be the firm’s first ‘hot hatch’ but the car offers excellent value for money for those looking for great levels of performance.

Prices for the I30 N start at £24,995 on the road and it’s the first appearance of the firm’s new ‘N’ sub-brand.

The power is controlled with a limited slip differential for the front wheel drive with a manual gearbox that features automatic rev matching -which makes it easier to change gears at speed.

For those who want great performance, the engine for the Hyundai i30 N is a 2.0 litre T-GDI which will deliver 275 PS and torque of 353Nm.

There will be just two specifications available from launch, the I30 N and the i30 N Performance; both have a long list of equipment.

Standard kit includes smart adaptive speed control, satnav, smart phone connectivity and keyless entry.

The performance spec includes 18-inch alloy wheels, electronic control suspension and ventilated front brake discs. There’s also a torque vectoring system as well as steering wheel mounted drive mode buttons.
