And now the bold design is part of an upgrade to deliver a dynamic vehicle that is packed with advanced technology and safety features.

As well as the closed grille, the Kona Electric features new LED daytime running lights that help give the car a wider look.
There’s a new asymmetric charging port on the front which is a unique feature.
Aerodynamics have been improved with air inlets that sit in front of the wheel arches, and turbulence has also been substantially reduced to deliver a more stable driving experience.
The new model is also slightly longer than the car it replaces to create more space on board.
New technology for the Hyundai Kona Electric includes a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and there’s also the option of a 10.25-inch multimedia display which includes smartphone compatibility.
The new Kona Electric also features ambient light technology and there are two interior colour packages available to boost customisation levels.
Lease the Hyundai Kona Electric
Most potential drivers wanting to lease the Hyundai Kona Electric will be wanting to consider the car’s battery range.
The long-range version contains a 64kWh battery that works with an electric motor to deliver 204 PS and a range of 300 miles.
The standard version contains a 39.2kWh battery is mated with an electric motor to deliver 136 PS and an all-electric range of 199 miles.
The system also uses regenerative braking to keep the battery topped up.
The recharging time for the lithium-ion battery is 47 minutes using a fast charger, or for those recharging at home will take around seven hours.

This includes smart cruise control, lane-keeping assist and a rear-cross traffic collision alert system.
