FVL’s Tony King yesterday completed the Caledonian Etape race, and says he had a great time doing it! Tony was racing to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and had set a target of £450, which he was delighted to shatter by raising over £1,040 to date!

Tony completed the 81.5 mile course in under 4 hours (which was his personal goal) at 3 hours 50 mins, finishing just 24 minutes behind the winner, gaining 330th position in a field of 5,500 riders. You can view all of the stats from his ride here – from altitudes to heart rates.

Tony has managed to raise a whopping £1,041 (+Gift Aid) so far, and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated. He was happy to report that the people at the Marie Curie stand at the race were delighted with the total he’d raised.

  • If you would still like to donate and have not then Tony’s Just Giving page will be open until next month.
