I Want a Dream Car

I have never driven a dream car. No one has ever paid for me to go on an experience day at Silverstone (or wherever they hold them), I have never test driven a Ferrari and I have never even been to Disneyland to sit in Herbie or what other Disney cars are there.

This has never been much of a problem for me but the time has come to think about the dream vehicle I would want to drive if I had the choice. Hmm, it looks like it could be a tough choice.

Back to the Future DeLorean

I need to start off with an obvious one I am afraid. I loved the film, I wanted to be Michael J Fox and I quite fancy the idea of time travelling so what’s not to like? I might be tempted to take a trip back to the 1980s and change a few things (like not buying those ill fated baggy jeans and psychedelic shirts) but just cruising along at less than 88 miles per hour would be good too.

Greased Lightning

I am sure that I wasn’t the only little boy who hated Grease because his sisters watched it all day every day. Having said that, for sheer coolness the Greased Lightning vehicle can’t be beat. There are actually two of them in the film, one is white and the other is red. Either will do.

The Starsky and Hutch Car

I just looked this up and apparently it was a Ford Torino they used. It was fairly groovy too, wasn’t it? My memory of the show isn’t that great but it seems that it was Starsky’s car and that Hutch didn’t really like it. Huggy Bear’s view on the matter isn’t known.

The General Lee

The good old Duke boys sneaked into the list ahead of other favourites such as Bullitt’s mustang, the Bond vehicles and the Italian Job minis. I would need to practise jumping in the window without opening the door though.
