For the price, drivers will get the most complete and advanced version of the car yet with every aspect being refined by Honda engineers.

Prices for the all-new contract hire Honda Civic Type R have been confirmed in what is a much-anticipated new car.

Honda Civic Type R car lease

There’s just one engine choice for the Honda Civic Type R car lease model and it is a VTEC turbo – but it’s the most powerful version ever produced by Honda.

There’s also an improved six-speed manual gearbox for more responsive and quicker gear changes with the transmission paired with a rev-matching system to boost downshifting.

Other standard features include bespoke styling, so the car is wider and lower than the standard version and this Type R only retains the rear tailgate and front doors.

Otherwise, there are new aerodynamic and sculpted wheel arches with new bumpers and there’s a fresh rear spoiler too.

Practicality and comfort in the revamped cabin

Drivers also get lots of practicality and comfort in the revamped cabin and refinement.

There’s the classic crimson red trim to tell occupants that they are sitting in a Type R with a digital binnacle that is fully customisable as a standard item.

Honda says it has redesigned the cockpit to boost driver concentration when taking part ‘in intense driving experiences’.

As a result, the dial works with several driving modes to deliver concentrated layers of information for the driver.

New feature for the Honda Civic Type R

Another new feature of the Type R is a new fully programmable individual mode that sits alongside the pre-defined driving modes.

That means drivers can tailor their car’s performance to their own preferences and adapt the throttle response, suspension, engine noise, display readout and the steering – and more, Honda says.

Drivers do this by utilising the large touchscreen and there are also new functions and options for the car’s infotainment system. The system is also smartphone compatible.

Among these is LogR which sees the car using a data-logging system utilising sensors dotted around the vehicle to offer a wealth of data that helps drivers improve their driving skills.

The order books for the all-new contract hire Civic Type R are open now with the first deliveries starting in January.
