The new Ford EcoSport has boosted its offering in the competitive compact SUV segment with an improvement of personalisation options and more equipment.

There’s also a new 1.5 litre EcoBlue diesel unit and intelligent all-wheel drive added.

Ford says that more roof colours to choose from to improve the contrasting paint schemes and the revamped interior features a floating central touchscreen.

Equipment for the Ford Ecosport

Among the new equipment for the Ford EcoSport there is cruise control with speed limiter, a rearview camera and the firm’s Sync3 connectivity.

The styling has also been overhauled and potential owners have a choice of 12 colours for the body.

There’s also a new user-centric interior with a floating 8-inch touchscreen along with a heated steering wheel and extra stowage including a boot floor that is adjustable.

The new model also provides a debut for an excellent new engine for the Ford EcoSport with the 1.5 litre EcoBlue diesel unit producing 125 PS and emissions of 107g/km.

There’s even a performance inspired EcoSport ST-Line.

Also, from the middle of this year the intelligent all-wheel drive system will be offered as an option which will help boost grip on a range of road surfaces and adjusting torque delivery between the front and rear wheels.

The Ford EcoSport has been a popular choice with the Blue Oval selling more than 166,000 units in Europe with the new model offering better comfort and improved capabilities.

The compact SUV segment is growing quickly in Europe, there’s been a 21% year-on-year increase, and Ford has also seen sales rocket by 30% and the excellent new Ford EcoSport will help propel the firm to even greater sales success.
