The Mercedes AMG GT Roadster has been officially unveiled ahead of the Paris motor show.
These are the first official pictures of the excellent Mercedes AMG GT Roadster which delivers more power than its hard top sibling.
The carmaker has also announced the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster which is a new model – and the most powerful produced by Mercedes with an engine that produces 557 bhp and torque of 680Nm.
The Mercedes-AMG GT family has now grown to be five members strong with the addition of the two new roadsters and all feature a lightweight and rigid aluminium body shell powered by efficient V8 biturbo engines.

The Mercedes AMG GT Roadster now effectively becomes the entry-level model into this rarefied world with its 4.0litres of engine power delivering 476 bhp, it’s a powerful open top sports car.
The AMG GT C Roadster utilises active rear axle steering as well as rear axle locking differential that is electronically controlled to help deliver great handling.
When used with AMG’s ‘ride control’ and sports suspension, the car delivers one of the best dynamic performances available today. It’s slightly wider than the AMG GT R sibling with slightly wider rear wings to accommodate wider wheels for the rear axle.

These wider wheels deliver higher cornering speeds and vastly improved traction and the exhaust system delivers what Mercedes calls ‘an authentic V8 sound’.
The top speed for the new cars range from 188 mph to 196 mph and the GT C Roadster is able to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds.
While Mercedes has taken the covers from the new roadsters it’s still to unveil what the prices will be but for anyone interested then they will be in the region of £100,000.
