Skoda has also taken the opportunity to reveal details of the same Greenline model for its new Skoda Rapid Spaceback which is due in UK showrooms next January.

The new eco-models are well priced at £17,535 and £17,195 respectively and look set to appeal to fleet managers with a CO2 of 99g/km.

And, as you would expect from Skoda, there is high level of kit fitted as standard for the Skoda Rapid which also has low running costs.

Spec list for the Skoda Rapid Greenline

The specification includes 15 inch alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres, sunset glass, heated door mirrors and front fog lights. Inside there is air conditioning and a Maxi-DOT trip computer.

Both vehicles will be powered by the impressive Skoda 1.6-litre TDI diesel engine which is mated to a five-speed manual transmission which should bring the owner eye-catching fuel economy of 74.3 mpg on the combined cycle.

The Skoda Rapid was the first car in the carmaker’s line-up to be redesigned to fit their new house style and this compact family hatchback has plenty of space for five passengers and their luggage.

Personlise your Skoda Rapid Greenline

Since its relaunch last year, the Skoda Rapid has picked up a number of awards for its styling, quality of build and road handling characteristics.

Potential buyers of the Skoda Rapid can also personalise their car with a range of personalisation options which will also be extended to include the Greenline models to create something very special.

In addition to its spec levels, the Skoda Rapid Greenline has also had its suspension lowered slightly, and aerodynamic grille has been added and brake energy recuperation fitted.

When the Skoda Rapid Spaceback is sold from January it will attract attention for its extra room in the rear though the boot is much smaller than other Rapids.

The Skoda Rapid Greenline is available to order now with deliveries expected early next year.
