The entry-level Taigo Life is worth considering with its three-cylinder, 1.0-litre petrol unit producing 95 PS.
It’s mated to a manual five-speed box and there’s an alternative output from the same engine of 110 PS and a six-speed manual transmission.
Drivers also have the choice of a seven-speed automatic transmission too.
For those wanting more power from their VW, there’s a 1.5-litre four-cylinder TSI engine producing 150 PS and it’s mated to the DSG automatic transmission.
