Contract hire iX xDrive40

BMW says that the contract hire iX xDrive40 will blaze a trail for an SUV packed with luxury and for its digital and connected services.

This is the firm’s new technology flagship and will deliver emission-free driving pleasure, while also offering great handling and sporting ability.

The new vehicle is not available until the end of the year, but the carmaker is hoping that the sports activity vehicle will deliver great sales success.

The power for the iX xDrive40 comes from electric motors that have a feed-in of electricity.

This means there’s no need for magnets and all of the power is available in full from a standing start.

There’s one electric motor for the rear axle, and another for the front with both producing a combined 300bhp to deliver a 0 to 62 mph sprint time of six seconds.

Rapid charging of the battery will take 40 minutes to reach 80% of capacity. The normal charging time will be 11 hours.

Latest regeneration of eDrive electric motors

The new model will be using the firm’s latest regeneration of eDrive electric motors that are more sophisticated than found in other BMW models, including the ID.3.

The SUV will also be all-wheel drive with the battery pack being mounted under the floor.

The larger battery will deliver a performance of 500bhp, and a sprint time of less than five seconds.

For those interested in leasing the BMW iX xDrive40 range, then expect a lot of equipment including 5G capabilities and sophisticated software.
