The new BMW iX3 prices and specifications have been unveiled. As a potential lease car, there’s a lot to recommend the BMW iX3.
This is the impressive new BMW iX3 electric-powered SUV that is heading to the UK.
There will be two exclusive editions for the British market: the Premier Edition, and the Premier Edition Pro.
The announcement follows BMW’s announcement earlier in the summer about producing an all-electric BMW X model.
iX3 will be launched next summer
The new electric SUV iX3 will be launched next summer with lots of standard equipment that will be in excess of the current X3 offering.
This will then make the X3 the brand’s first offering as a plug-in hybrid, a petrol- or diesel-powered SUV, or a pure electric drive offering – and a great car to lease.
The new car is built on the standard X3’s platform to house the electric motor and the 80kWh battery pack.
Power comes from a 282 bhp electric motor
The power comes from a 282 bhp electric motor that is mounted onto the car’s rear axle and will deliver a top speed of 112 mph.
That’s a very good figure for an EV, and the 0 to 62 mph time is 6.8 seconds – that’s not far off the petrol-powered X3 xDrive30i’s sprint time.
The new BMW iX3 will offer a WLTP range of 285 miles, similar to other electric cars.
The battery can be charged to 80% of its charge in 34 minutes using a 154kW fast charging point.
There are four exterior metallic body colours to choose from, and two exterior trim colours as well.
BMW iX3 comes with 20-inch aerodynamic wheels
The new BMW iX3 comes with 20-inch aerodynamic wheels, a panoramic sunroof, adaptive suspension and an automatic tailgate.
Drivers also get to choose their Vernasca leather upholstery in four colours, and there’s also ambient lighting, sun protection glazing and electric seats.
Other features that will be fitted as standard include heated front seats, wireless phone charging, parking assist and the firm’s very latest in driving assistance technologies.

The fully-electric iX3 Premier Edition Pro offers gesture control, a head-up display, parking assistant plus and a Harmon Kardon surround sound system.
The prices for the Premier Edition start at £61,900 OTR, and £64,900 for the Premier Edition Pro.
The pricing makes the BMW iX3 models very attractive as a car leasing opportunity.
