Why choose an audi a4?

The Audi A4 has been a popular choice with drivers for years and the 2019 refreshed model still impresses. There's a comprehensive package of equipment and the styling updates give the car a fresh and modern look. To help boost its attractiveness, Audi has added to what was already a long list of standard equipment with some impressive new features. The Audi A4 is still a comfortable and responsive car to drive and it's certainly one that is hard to beat in its segment.

Audi A4 estate and Audi A4 saloon engines

The A4 is an exciting proposition with a choice of eight engines for drivers to choose from - four of these are petrol variants. There's an excellent new entry-level model for the Audi A4 featuring a 1.4 litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers plenty of punch to make this Audi an excellent proposition for those who like responsive and rewarding cars to drive. There's also an excellent 2.0 litre TDI unit and for those who want power and performance, there's a 3.0 litre V6 TDI available too. The engines are coupled to either a seven-speed dual clutch automatic or a six-speed manual box.

Equipment and handling

Audi is renowned for producing the best interiors available and that continues with the impressive new Audi A4. The cabin feels and looks modern and clean, with little in the way of clutter to make it a comfortable place to spend a long time. Long journeys are a breeze and there is plenty of space for adults in the seats. The boot is a decent size with the split-folding rear seats offering more space when required. The standard equipment list includes analogue instruments that can be swapped for Audi's impressive 12.3-inch 'virtual cockpit' TFT cluster or there's an option of a head-up display too. There are four trim levels with the basic kit including an acoustic glazed windscreen, parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels and semi-autonomous driving and braking systems. Other features include tri-zone climate control, an infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone integration. Go up the A4 range and there are 18-inch alloy wheels, sports suspension, satnav and an impressive audio system.

The Audi A4 has been a popular choice with drivers for many years now and the new offering is particularly impressive; it's a comfortable car to drive, the engines are responsive and the new suspension delivers the grip and handling that drivers will be expecting. Whichever body style you opt for, including the incredible RS models, the Audi A4 will deliver the driving fun and comfort you expect.
