Public transport for Wrexham

The nearest international airport to Wrexham is Liverpool (John Lennon), 21 miles away, although Manchester Airport is feasible with a 50-mile distance but a good, though busy, road network.

Located 4 miles west of Chester, Hawarden Airport, also known as Chester Airport, offers convenient access to North Wales and the motorway network via the A55 North Wales bypass. The airport, open to the public seven days a week, is owned and operated by Airbus UK. It serves as a transportation hub for the wings manufactured for the Airbus fleet in the nearby factory buildings. The Airbus Beluga (A3ST) aircraft frequently travels to and from the airport to transport these wings to the final assembly point in Europe.

Wrexham has two train stations: Wrexham General and Wrexham Central. And Gwersyllt is located in the city's western suburbs. These stations provide rail services to destinations such as Chester, Shrewsbury, and Birmingham. Train services in Wrexham are operated by Transport for Wales.
