Overview of the Mercedes-Benz C Class

THE MERCEDES C-CLASS PROVIDES LUXURY AND STYLE IN SPADES.

The interior is more spacious with a fresh design appealing to upscale executives requiring space and families alike.
Along with new active state of the art safety and also the firm’s ‘Dynamic Select’ system the new model makes for a compelling leasing proposition.

A PLETHORA OF ENGINES FOR THE MERCEDES C-CLASS

There is a fantastic range of choice from Mercedes when it comes to powering your new C-Class.
Three petrol engines (not including the AMG specific offerings), starting from a C180 1.6ltr with 156bhp going to a C300 2.0ltr lump with 258bhp.
There are three diesel offerings as well, ranging from the C200d 1.6d with 160bhp (returning 57.7 mpg combined) to the C300d 2.0ltr with 245ps capable of a 0-62mph dash in 5.9 seconds and can return up to 48.7mpg on the combined cycle.
There is even a diesel hybrid option in the C300de model. This packs a Lithium Ion battery combining with the punchy 2.0ltr diesel engine to kick out 316bhp. 0-62mph is dispensed with in only 5.6 seconds and it can return up to a healthy 51.6mpg on the combined WLTP cycle.
The C-Class range will offer 9-G-Tronic automatic transmissions and all-wheel drive across a variety of models.

NEW MERCEDES C-CLASS DELIVERS MORE AGILITY

The Mercedes C-Class offers three models in the SE, Sport and AMG Line. Each has their own characteristics when it comes to handling. The SE being the ‘comfort’ model gives a supple ride, smoothing out the undulations well but a bit a softer in the corners. Next comes the Sport model providing a good blend of comfort and agility with a crisper feeling in the corners. Lastly the AMG-Line comes with a much more sports tuned feel, tight in the corners and handling the more powerful engines output with ease, although it’s a little harsher day to day.

EQUIPMENT LEVELS

The C-Class come generously equipped from the base models. The SE begins with full man-made leather (which we would rather have than some of the competitions cloth seats), reversing cameras, dynamic drive select and high gloss black interior trim.
Moving onto the Sport Edition immediately gains 18” Alloys, arguably the best suspension set up in the range, real leather in Black or silk beige in a well bolstered seat plus the all-important all LED Multibeam headlamps for those wintry evenings.
For the sports car aficionado the AMG Line Edition brings in an even great sports design edge. AMG Body styling on the exterior highlights the C-Class’ bulges and curves and the 18” AMG Alloys really finish things off. The interior trim gets upgraded to open-pore black ash wood and there are some AMG sports pedals in brushed steel. The suspension gets beefed up again and there is an addition to the steering in the Sports Direct-steer system.
Of course, as with any Mercedes-Benz you’d expect a full options list and they wouldn’t disappoint here with their long serving C-Class model. On certain model’s Android Auto and Apple Car Play can be specified, as can fully Airmatic Air Suspension.
As with other Mercedes models the Premium and Premium Plus packs feature on the options list. Adding such tech as multi-coloured LED Interior Lights, Command Navigation with 3d mapping, linguatronic voice control and two usb ports, 12.3.inch digital instrument cluster, uprated sound systems and even a panoramic roof.
