Kia have announced for special editions of its cars that come with higher levels of equipment than usual, including the Kia Cee’d.

Designated as the SR7 models, they replace the previous VR7 models.

Kia says it keeping the emphasis on the value aspect for its range while improving the style and quality that is demanded from buyers.

The Kia special editions for the SR7 will be made for the Venga, Rio, Carens and Cee’d.

There’s a range of extra kit on the SR7 range including cornering lights, LED daytime running lights and front fog lights. There’s also automatic headlight controls, UV-reducing solar glass, privacy glass and dual zone automatic air con.

Kia have also added new colour options and alloy wheels for the SR7 and they mark the beginning of a long list of new facelifts, models and product enhancements that will come from this acclaimed carmaker this year.

Heading the model line-up is an all-new Sorento, facelifts for the Venga and Rio and extra options for the Kia Max and Soul Mixx.

Kia have high hopes for its new special edition models thanks to the success of the previous VR7 versions which delivered high spec cars at popular prices.

For instance, the Kia Rio SR7 comes as a three or five door car with a 1.25 litre petrol engine or 1.1 litre diesel unit underneath the bonnet.

The new Kia Cee’d SR7 will come in three bodystyles and have a 1.4 litre petrol engine producing 98bhp. There’s also a five door Cee’d available with a 1.4 litre diesel unit producing 89bhp.

All versions of the Cee’d SR7 will come with the kit mentioned above along with reversing sensors, air con, leather trim steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity and electrically adjustable door mirrors.

Prices for the Kia Cee’d SR7 with the 1.4 litre petrol engine start at £15,650 and are insurance group 8.

The most expensive version of the line-up is the Kia Cee’d Sportswagon which has the same petrol engine but will cost 16,650 and is in the same insurance group.

Prices for Kia Carens SR7 start at £19,295 for the 1.6 petrol engine version and £20,690 for the 1.7litre diesel unit.

The Kia Rio SR7 is the cheapest model on offer at £10,345 for the three door 1.25 petrol model and £13,745 for the five door 1.1 litre diesel model.
