About Leasing an Audi TT
Audi TT offers impressive grip
Economy and performance boost sports car's appeal
The latest version of the Audi TT offers impressive grip and it still retains its good looks. On top of this, the economy and performance help boost the sport car’s appeal.
ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE FOR THE AUDI TT
For those who want performance from their Audi TT, there's a 2.0 litre petrol unit producing 230 HP which will help the TT sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just over five seconds. The economy for this performance is 30 mpg. For those who want a more sedate experience, the 1.8 litre petrol engine delivers 180 bhp and is an excellent performer around town while the new 2.0 litre TDI diesel unit produces 184 HP and is a sound choice for those who rack up motorway miles; the diesel engine will accelerate to 62 mph in 6.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 145 mph while returning economy of 53 mpg.
EQUIPMENT AND HANDLING
There's no doubt that the Audi TT is still a stylish looking sports car and it is also an excellent car to drive with an impressive interior. It also has reasonable running costs and while there's not much space for those in the rear seats, it is a spacious car for those in the front. The TT is available as a coupe and roadster.
The centrepiece of the cabin is Audi's 12.3 in infotainment display which offers a digital cockpit rather than using analogue dials and with comfortable leather seats and some nice design ideas, including contrasting silver stitching in some models, it's a comfortable place to be for long journeys.
Handling for the small car is excellent, particularly on winding country roads but the engines really come into their own when accelerating on motorways with firm grip and responsive handling delivering lots of enjoyment. Audi's excellent quattro system is available as an option for boosting grip and torque is delivered to both axles though when the system detects traction decrease the clutch will automatically redirect power to the wheel that needs it most.
While satnav is an option for some models, standard equipment includes Bluetooth connectivity and DAB radio as well as electronic stabilisation control and rear parking sensors - though the option of the parking assist system may be money well spent for some drivers.
Essentially, the Audi TT is a stylish sports car with excellent levels of handling and promises great fun when behind the wheel.
