Available as a Coupe and Roadster, the AMG GT features a number of enhancements, including new LED high-performance headlights and exhaust tailpipes.

The hand-built engine will produce 476 hp with torque of 630 Nm to help propel the GT from 0 to 62 mph in four seconds and on to a top speed of 189 mph.

The economy for the new Mercedes AMG GT Coupe is around 23 mpg with emissions of 261g/km, with the Roadster delivering similar figures.

Opt for the AMG GT S Coupe and Roadster, then the engine produces 557 hp with slightly more torque to reach 62 mph in 3.8 seconds. The top speed for the S Coupe is 193 mph.

Alongside this impressive performance, the handling characteristics of the car remain impressive and there’s a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster to monitor all of the car’s vital information.

Handling is dealt with using a responsive AMG performance steering wheel with touch control buttons that help that cover the ‘Track Pace’ offering.

The new model also comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a performance exhaust system, heated seats, automatic climate control and keyless-go starting function.

The new Mercedes AMG GT is available now, with prices starting at £104,000 for the Coupe and £116,000 for the Roadster with the first deliveries arriving in May.
