Maybe you have already seen car eyelashes on your travels but I just read about the trend for them for the first time the other day. I thought it was a joke at first but then I realised that you can really buy these things and that lots of people have already done so. You could have knocked me down with a feather at that point.
Where I live fashion trends move slowly. If I stuck a pair of eyelashes on my car the locals would turn up at my door at midnight with pitchforks and flaming torches, accusing me of witchcraft. However, the rest of the world seems to have taken this insane car accessory to its collective heart.
I only have one question on the subject. Why? What on Earth does a pair of false eyelashes add to the looks of a car? The bad news is that it seems that I am once again fighting a lone battle against the madness of the modern world.

A woman called Dottie Small rubs her hand together every time someone else buys some new lashes for their car. You see, she is the lady behind this weird craze. She lives in Utah and she said that it is big business. In fact, they are now sold in over 90 countries around the world.
How much are all those car eyelashes which have been sold so far worth? 3 flipping million US dollars. What? They appear to cost about $30 each so by my estimate that they have sold 100,000 of the blighters. Who bought them all? I haven’t seen a single pair yet and neither has anyone I know.
