VW's new R Line

The VW Polo R Line has a higher spec than the VW Polo Match and has unique styling touches inside and out.

It’s unique styling pack includes deeper, ‘sportier’ front and rear bumpers, a black gloss radiator grille and deeper side sills. There’s also 16-inch Mallory alloy wheels.

This pocket rocket also has dark-tinted glass and the front foglights have static cornering function.

The VW Polo R Line’s interior’s quite smart too with brushed aluminium scuff plates, sports seats, a leather-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel and aluminium-capped pedals.

Though the VW Polo R Line is only available with the existing 1.2-litre 105 PS TSI petrol unit, which has a six-speed manual gearbox, the motor will propel the VW Polo R Line from zero to 62 mph in 9.7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 118 mph. Fuel consumption is 53.3 mpg on the combined cycle.

Prices start at £15,195 on the road for the three-door model, rising to £15,815 for the five-door. Orders being taken now for delivery in July. It’s a great little car but that doesn’t mean you should avoid checking out the potential savings for a leasing package.
