Smart fortwo: Cityflame is hot stuff

Smart is turning up the heat on its city car rivals with the launch of an impressive model.

The Smart fortwo cityflame edition is destined to have motorists blazing a trail to Smart retailers when it is launched next month.

The car has an interesting look and a great specification.

The Smart fortwo cityflame is a car that cannot fail to brighten the lives of owners as it is distinguished by vivid pearlescent flame yellow body panels that are anything but mellow.

Complementing the eye-catching exterior are a black tridion safety cell, grille surround and door mirror caps as well as exclusive black-painted 3-double spoke alloy wheels.

The red hot colour scheme of the Smart fortwo cityflame continues inside with black fabric/leather-look seats incorporating flame yellow inlays and stitching.

The leather-look dashboard and three-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles also feature flame yellow contrasts as does the specially-produced floor mats with ‘cityflame’ embroidered lettering.

The Smart fortwo cityflame is available as a coupé or cabrio and has a choice of 71 bhp (52 kW) or 84 bhp (62 kW) petrol engines.

There’s a decent list of standard equipment in the Smart fortwo cityflame too with air conditioning, softouch transmission and electric windows. The coupé features a panoramic roof and the cabrio is equipped with an electric soft top in black tritop fabric.

There will only be 200 Smart fortwo cityflame edition models available for purchase in the UK.

Prices for the Smart fortwo cityflame start at £10,995 for the 71 bhp coupé cityflame and rise to £12,995 for the 84 bhp (62kW) cabrio cityflame.

The Smart fortwo remains a popular car because it’s functional and stylish but anyone thinking of buying one should have a look at their leasing costs before committing to a purchase.
