Smart Edition 21 – a Funky New Look

Smart has just unveiled a new special edition Smart called edition 21 – a car that is firmly aimed at young drivers.

Smart edition 21 The impressive Smart edition 21

The Smart edition 21 is based on the nippy and frugal 71 bhp mhd pulse coupé and cabrio.

And while the Smart edition 21 has the same distinctive styling, the new model brings even more value to the iconic brand.

The Smart car is something of an acquired taste but it is fun to drive – it features as standard a black tridion safety cell and black mirror caps, striking 15” three-double-spoke alloy wheels, subtle “edition21” logos in the mirror triangles and LED day time running lights.

The distinctive appearance of the Smart edition21 is completed with a choice of black or white body panels and customers can also choose an optional white tridion safety cell.

Inside the Smart edition 21 there is black fabric/leather-look upholstery and a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel with shift paddles.

To help shift numbers, the Smart edition 21 comes in an affordable package and will only be available in limited numbers, ensuring that any owners are guaranteed to stand out in a crowd!

Gary Savage, the managing director of Mercedes-Benz Cars, said: “Smart has always pioneered, whether it’s city motoring, electric drive, or big car safety in a tiny package.

“The Smart edition 21 isn’t a stripped-out special, though.  Like every Smart it’s still super-stylish, is packed with equipment and has a full complement of safety systems as standard.”

On-the-road prices for the Smart edition 21 are £9,575 for the coupé and £11,075 for the cabrio.

Buyers can also enjoy one year’s free motor insurance (if they are aged over 21) which could save young drivers hundreds of pounds.

However, I would still recommend checking out the car leasing deals for the Smart edition 21 because I think there is room for even more savings!
