So not only can you can impress with one of the world’s most incredible vehicles, you can also let the wind run through your hair as you do so.

The new Continental GT Speed Convertible is officially the fastest four-seat soft top in the world with a maximum speed of 202 mph – and this supercar performance comes from an uprated 625 PS (616 bhp) twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre W12 engine and eight-speed transmission.

Amaxingly, this British-built supercar will hit 60mph in just four seconds – and then 100mph in nine seconds WITH THE TOP DOWN!

The car has muscular lines and sports contemporary hand-crafted luxury but also manages to deliver an incredible driving experience with coupe-like refinement.

Bentley says its new engine has a 15% improvement in driving range, fuel economy and emissions – though like we flagged up with a previous review of the Continental not many owners will be overly concerned about any improvements such as these.

The car also has exclusive 21-inch alloy wheels, dark-tint grilles and ‘rifled’ exhaust tail pipes. Inside its handcrafted cabin, the GT Speed convertible features the Mulliner Driving Specification as standard.

Though it’s now owned by VW, Bentley still employs thousands of people in Crewe and exports more than £500m worth of vehicles aruond the world with buyers queueing up to buy the luxury marque.

The Bentley Continental Convertible will make its global debut at the Detroit Auto Show later this month.

Expect prices to start at a wallet-busting £160,000 for the privilege of owning one.
