The BMW 3 Series gets a refresh

This is the revamped BMW 3 Series car lease model with new styling and the latest advances in equipment from the carmaker.

The exterior has been refreshed and a newly designed cockpit features the firm’s curved display and its latest Operating System 8.

The cabin has been extensively redesigned to make it a comfortable place to spend time, and the firm’s eight-speed Steptronic Sport gearbox is now fitted as standard.

There’s also the same refresh of the 3 Series Touring model for drivers to enjoy.

There’s a new, refreshed contract hire BMW 3 Series that has the latest equipment and digitalisation advances from the carmaker to enjoy.

Contract hire BMW 3 Series

The contract hire BMW 3 Series features a choice of six engines, and for those who want more power, there are two BMW Performance models to consider.

The range includes four petrol engines and two diesels with a choice of either plug-in or mild-hybrid variants.

The power outputs range from 184hp and up to 374hp with the range-topping models featuring all-wheel drive as a standard feature. It’s an option on other models.

Entry-level model

The entry-level 3 Series model offers 184hp and torque of 300Nm to deliver a 0 to 62 mph time of 7.1 seconds. Its top speed is 146 mph with economy of around 40 mpg and emissions of 163g/km.

The top performing model is the BMW M340i xDrive with a power output of 374hp, torque of 510Nm and a top speed of 155mph.

Its sprint time is 4.4 seconds with fuel economy of 35mpg and emissions of 193g/km.

BMW says that along with the sporty appearance, the 3 Series offers better aerodynamics to boost driving performance and efficiencies.

New additions for the 3 Series lease range include park distance control, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and the Live Cockpit Plus that features satnav.

There’s also a top-end surround sound system with the Touring models featuring a panoramic glass sunroof, and the saloons having an electric glass roof.

Drivers can also opt for a carbon-fibre roof for the top models.

Another feature is Level 2 automated driving with the firm’s ‘driving assistant professional’ system that utilises cruise control with a braking function that is fitted as standard.
