The award-winning contract hire Hyundai Ioniq 5 is being revamped for the 2023 model year.

It has picked up a slew of awards, including the UK’s car of the year gong, and now the Hyundai Ioniq 5 car lease range is being revamped.

Among the changes will be a new 77.4kWh battery, new features and better range.

This was the firm’s first dedicated battery-powered platform and has won lots of awards since being unveiled in 2021.

There are also new video-based digital exterior and interior mirrors with a camera mounted in the rear spoiler to optimise visibility.

There’s also a new addition to the contract hire Hyundai Ioniq 5 range in the shape of the Amsan Edition.

This offers the very best in powertrain specifications and equipment levels.

There’s also a full-length panoramic roof, plus leather relaxation seats and a spacious interior.

It features the new digital side mirrors and even when driving in poor weather, the enhanced rear view will still work.

Entry-level Ioniq 5

The entry-level Ioniq 5, the SE Connect, now features a 58kWh battery offering a range of 238 miles.

Standard equipment includes front and rear LED lights, wireless device charging, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with satnav and Bluelink connectivity.

There’s also adaptive cruise control and Hyundai has added smart frequency dampers to boost the suspension at the front and rear to deliver better handling and ride comfort.

Other models feature part-leather upholstery, 64 colour ambient lighting and a sliding centre console.

The top model also features the option of a heat pump to boost the battery’s efficiency, particularly in very cold weather.

The new 77.4 kWh battery

Also, the Premium models of the range have the new 77.4 kWh battery which will deliver a range of 315 miles.

The Ultimate trim adds blind view monitoring, a surround-view monitoring system and 20-inch alloy wheels.

There are also ventilated and heated front seats, privacy glass, a premium sound system and an augmented reality head-up display.

There’s the option of a tech pack that includes remote smart parking assistance, automatic flush door handles and parking collision avoidance.

Subscription to the firm’s Live Services

All models also feature the 12.3-inch media centre with satnav, and a three-year subscription to the firm’s Live Services.

There’s also Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition and a 12.3-inch instrument display plus smartphone connectivity.

As an award-winning electric car, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 car lease range has a lot to live up to but the new additions will help boost the attractiveness of what is a well-made and well-designed car for families to enjoy.
