The Volkswagen ID.3 and the ID.4 car leasing ranges have been revamped by the carmaker with more technology.
Among the changes to the Volkswagen ID.3 and the ID.4 car lease ranges for the 2022 model year is a major change to the ordering process.
Previously, VW had pre-configured trim levels with a range of packages – with contract hire drivers only being able to customise the wheels or the body colour.
That has now changed with the new line-up with drivers able to choose a suitable trim and then customise their car with option packs.
VW says this will increase the flexibility of the ordering process and boost the car’s popularity.
Contract hire Volkswagen ID.3
Among the changes to the contract hire Volkswagen ID.3 and the ID.4 is the potential to configure the firm’s augmented reality head-up display.
Previously, drivers could only order it for two models, but that has been extended to each model.
Also, VW has renamed the City trim as Life, while they have discontinued the Business and Tech equipment levels.
The carmaker has also lowered the price for some ID.3 variants so they are now eligible for the plug-in vehicle grant.
VW ID.3 lease
Along with price reductions, the VW ID.3 lease range sees the Tour trim having a 77kWh battery offering a range of 340 miles.
The update also brings various changes and subtle tweaks, including new paint schemes among the enhancements.
New kit includes a multifunction steering wheel and folding heated door mirrors.
VW says it is responding to a changing market and the ID.3 is one of the bestselling battery-powered cars in the UK.
Augmented reality head-up display for both models
Along with the augmented reality head-up display for both models, there’s also a larger 12.0-inch infotainment display for the ID.4. The ID.3 retains its 10.1-inch unit but does get a new seven-speaker sound system.
Among the packs is a sport suspension with the sport pack adding progressive steering.
The sport plus pack adds adaptive dampers, while drivers can customise various styling elements and boost the safety and driver assistance systems.
