The contract hire Volvo C40 Recharge been revealed and it’s an impressive electric EV.
This is the excellent contract hire Volvo C40 Recharge and it is the carmaker’s latest offering for those wanting a vehicle with zero-emissions.
While it appears to be an SUV, the C40 Recharge has a sleeker and lower design.
It follows the introduction of the firm’s XC40 Recharge and there will, Volvo promises, more electric models to come in the next year or two.
New car lease line-up
The new car lease line-up will be built alongside the XC40 Recharge in Belgium and will take on the likes of the popular Tesla Model 3.
The carmaker has already committed to achieving 50% of EV sales by 2025, with the balance being hybrids.
However, every Volvo sold by 2030, will be pure electric.
Volvo electric cars
The C40 Recharge has an attractive rear-end and a lower roofline, and the nose is what all future Volvo electric cars will look like.
There’s a high sitting position for the driver, with a range of colours to choose from.
Volvo is also promising that the car will have one of the best infotainment systems available – and this offering has been jointly developed with Google.
EV car lease
The new EV car lease will also receive software updates over the air so after leaving the factory, it will continue to improve.
Drivers will get to enjoy two electric motors, one for the front and rear axle, with a 78kWh battery.
Volvo says that the C40 Recharge’s range will be 261 miles and the battery can be recharged to 80% of its capacity in just 40 minutes.
Volvo C40 Recharge lease choice
The big difference for the new Volvo C40 Recharge lease choice is that the model selection will be reduced greatly with few, if any, options.
The new EV also be offered with a care package including home charging options, roadside assistance and servicing and warranty needs.
There’s no indication of the price just yet and the full specification for what will be a great EV to lease is expected to be revealed in the coming months.
