The specification and pricing for the impressive new Peugeot 308 have been revealed and it is still a great contract hire choice.
There’s a revised trim range, plus the choice of efficient diesel and petrol engines.
The digital i-Cockpit by Peugeot has been fitted as standard to help the car stand out in a competitive segment.
Deliveries will begin shortly, and prices start at £21,310.
Peugeot 308 is a sound choice as a family car
The new Peugeot 308 is a sound choice as a family car and is available as either an SW estate or hatchback version.
There are few exterior styling tweaks but there is a new blue colour choice and the option of 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
The new Peugeot also has a Black Pack option which sees some of the chrome exterior being replaced with a gloss black finish and that includes the grille, side window covers and front fog lights surrounds.
Along with the i-Cockpit technology, the 308 features a 10-inch touchscreen and a head-up display as standard so important data can be projected onto the windscreen in front of the driver.
Lease the Peugeot 308
For those drivers who want to lease the Peugeot 308 but want enhanced driving experiences, then the driver’s Sport Pack is fitted as standard to the GT, the GTI and the GT Premium.
The big attraction for this pack is the sport driving mode which alters the throttle and power steering to give an instinctive driving experience.
For those trims that have the automatic transmission, then they also receive a sporty gear shift pattern.
Driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, a rear view camera, automatic emergency braking and lane departure warning.
There’s also driver retention alert, active blind spot monitoring and speed sign recognition.
Engines for the new 308
Engines for the new 308 include a 1.2-litre PureTech unit that is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The 308 also comes with a choice of a 1.5-litre BlueHDI engine for better economy.
However, the 308 GTi features a 1.6-litre PureTech engine for better performance and most models have the option of an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The GTi also features a limited-slip differential, 19-inch alloy wheels, a black rear diffuser and twin exhausts.
The ride height has also been lowered to boost handling, and the driver and passenger get bucket seats with electric lumbar support.
