It’s really happening, isn’t it? Petrol prices are finally moving in a direction which could be generally described as being the opposite of up.
The supermarkets are the heroes, as the likes of Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda keep on cutting fuel prices. In fact, word from Asda is that their prices are at their lowest since, gulp, February 2011.
So what will you spend all that extra money on?
Drive More
You know it makes sense. Load up the car with drinks and biscuits, put on your best CHiPs style sunglasses and hit the road. We all love driving but most of us don’t do it as much as we would like to. Now you can use the excuse of cheaper petrol to go to somewhere you have never been before.
Kit Out the Car
Have you long had an urge to fit alloy wheels or put in a new sound system? These things aren’t cheap but maybe if you are making some reasonable savings on your fuel bills you will finally pluck up the courage to do it.
Get It Cleaned
Don’t you just hate washing the car? All that soap and water action just leaves me feeling like a rather out of place character in Car Wash. Well, now you can gather together the pennies you save each day and treat your vehicle to a professional car wash. This will help it look better and last longer as well.
Start the Kids’ Lessons
I can’t wait till my little girl is old enough to drive. Right now she just about manages to toot the horn and turn on all the lights and the windscreen wipers. Driving lessons are an expensive business but maybe with cheaper petrol around you can take your kids out in your car to show them the ropes.
