The popular carmaker’s latest addition, the Skoda Kamiq will be available soon.

It’s packed with lots of technology and equipment, and the new Skoda Kamiq is an impressive addition to the firm’s award-winning SUV line-up.

The new offering will cost from £17,700 OTR and there are four trims available.

Along with a touchscreen and LED headlights, equipment levels are high for every model.

The SUV is positioned below the firm’s Karoq and Kodiaq, and offers agility and practicality for Skoda’s growing fan base.

Engines for the Skoda Kamiq

Engines for the Skoda Kamiq include one diesel and three petrol choices with outputs ranging from 95 PS to 150 PS.

The diesel engine is a 1.6 litre TDi unit that produces 115 PS and has the option of being specified with the firm’s seven-speed automatic transmission.

The petrol engines include a 1.5 litre TSi engine that produces 150 PS and there are two 1.0 litre options available.

All of the engines are economical and responsive with the more powerful units producing decent performance on motorways at speed.

However, the new Skoda Kamiq really stands apart from the crowd with its equipment levels and standard kit includes alloy wheels, air conditioning and LED tail lights.

The 6.5-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system is easy-to-use and features DAB radio and for those who buy the SE model, then there’s the opportunity of using Skoda’s e-Call – which will call emergency services in an accident.

Other models come with body-coloured bumpers, a larger infotainment screen and wireless smartphone connectivity.

The top spec includes cruise control, rear parking sensors and rain and light sensors. There’s also blind spot detection, keyless engine start, a more upmarket upholstery and satnav as standard.

There’s also the option of driving a sportier version of the Kamiq in the shape of the Monte Carlo.

The special edition features a panoramic sunroof, special alloy wheels and an ambient lighting system.

There’s also gloss black detailing and badging, with prices for this model being announced separately.

The Skoda Kamiq is the second all-new offering to reach our showrooms after the impressive Scala and is a striking car to drive.
