Engines for the new Peugeot 508
Engines for the new Peugeot 508 include 1.5 litre diesel units and 1.6 litre petrol PureTech engines; these are either mated to a six-speed manual box or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
There’s also a 2.0 litre BlueHDi unit available for the top spec First Edition model.
Later this year, drivers will get the option of a plug-in electric vehicle delivering 225 HP with the PHEV delivering power to its front wheels using a 110 HP electric motor which combines with the 1.6 litre PureTech petrol engine.
Equipment for the all-new Peugeot 508
As mentioned, there is a lot of equipment for the all-new Peugeot 508 fitted as standard, including emergency brake assist, speed limit recognition and MirrorLink – which is the firm’s offering to enjoy Android Auto or Apple Car Play.
Entry-level models have 17-inch alloy wheels, 3-D satnav with live updates, automatic headlights and the driver’s seat has electric lumbar adjustment.
Other models come with active suspension, smart beam assistance, active blind spot detection and keyless entry and go.
There’s also a 180° reversing colour camera with the GT Line offering ambient lighting and the opportunity of controlling the engine note with active speaker technology.

The GT offers adaptive cruise control, lane positioning assist and a premium hi-fi speaker and full leather seats.
The top spec is the First Edition and there are only 75 versions available with prices starting at £40,819.
